We’re hiring… Design Technician/Draughtsman

Faber is a specialist F&B/restaurant design agency headquartered in Birmingham. Working for leading chefs, restaurateurs, hoteliers and retailers, we provide architectural/interior design and branding for the food and beverage industry.

We’re looking for a design technician to join our growing team at the Custard Factory in Birmingham. This position would suit someone who has great technical knowledge of joinery and detailing, is a whizz on AutoCAD and has an appreciation for great design.

Ideal candidates may have worked in the drawing office for a shopfitter or contractor, as above all else you need to have an understanding of how things are made!

Key responsibilities:

• Producing drawing packs for tender and construction purposes
• Liaising with contractors as required
• Assisting the design team with technical queries
• Helping the design team manage internal drawing standards and protocols

Required skills and attributes:

• Excellent understanding of joinery and shopfitting detailing
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Organised, detail focused, hard-working
• A good team player
• Software – AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Applications
