Creative Roundup: October 2022

A few of our favourite things...

The Pink Zebra, Kanpur India. Image Source: The Cool Hunter

THE ICONIC PINK ZEBRA RESTAURANT & BAR! This venue is impossible to miss. The restaurant is situated in one of the most ancient palaces of Kanpur, it’s composed of a lounge and a bar on the first floor, a dining room downstairs and a terrace. When we first saw The Pink Zebra, we thought it weirdly enough looks familiar almost cinematic, and that's when we realised that there are similarities to The Grand Budapest Hotel and the Hotel design was inspired by the work of Wes Anderson - Oscar-winning American film director who was the hotel's muse.

Located in London in the iconic Hotel Bloomsbury, you will find this vibrant and 1920s-inspired bar that has been designed in collaboration with the acclaimed Martin Brudnizki. Its vivid coral-coloured walls, five bespoke Murano glass chandeliers and stunning marble bar provides the perfect setting for cocktails with friends and an idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle of London. We are inspired and totally in awe of The Coral room!

Bar Douro, London. Image Source: Bar Douro

How beautiful is this restaurant? Occupying a railway arch in London’s buzzing Flat Iron Square, Bar Douro was created to bring authentic Portuguese food and wine to London. Sit at the counter in the azulejos-tiled dining room and watch the chefs meticulously work in the open kitchen.

Blue glass discs, hand-painted linen pendants and ombre curtains were combined by design studio Rockwell Group to evoke the Mediterranean coast at Zaytinya in New York City. We are in awe of this design.
