Concept, branding and interior design for a relaxed Italian eatery
"Tavola pays homage to an Italian family home in this relaxed and informal restaurant"
Tavola is a new Italian eatery in Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. Following on from the creation of the concept and brand (see branding case study here) the interior pays homage to the Italian family home. With the sense that the objects in the space have been accumulated over time, rather than curated, the design celebrates imperfection and the ad hoc nature of how we collect objects that have meaning.
The restaurant is located in a former bar, with a layout inherited from this former use. A central bar has been repurposed with the addition of a sit-at counter, whilst the different rooms in this space each have their own points of difference.
The end result is warm, welcoming and homely. A palette of fresh greens underpins a design scheme that evolves as you move through the space.
