Redesigning the captains lounge at Northampton Saints rugby ground

Faber were appointed to redesign the Captain’s Lounge at Northampton Saints Rugby Club on a small budget.The space needed to be multi-purpose, easily adaptable to suit different events, have a strong visual impact but work within the existing building layout.
To deliver a bold design within the budget, clever finishes and bright colour blocking were used to add some excitement and interest to the walls, the existing floor surface was retained but freshly sanded and polished and the bar area given a contemporary facelift. Loose furniture was implemented throughout to allow for movement and breaking up the space in different ways. Heritage was key to the visuals and pictures from the clubs history were used to decorate the space.
