An intimate fine-dining restaurant located within The Grand, York
"Located within the Edwardian splendour of The Grand, Yorks only five star hotel, the brief for Legacy was to create a small, intimate and special fine-dining experience that would be clearly differentiated from the larger, main hotel restaurant."
The design is built on a narrative focussing on industrialism and localism, drawing comparisons between the legacy of those who came before us and its new, unique, ever-changing future legacy.
Against the backdrop of a beautiful Edwardian building, Legacy adds a layer of carefully considered detail and elegant materiality. Solid brass engineered details, such as display shelving and cabinet hardware, sit alongside highly crafted joinery and hardwood panelling. A solid timber parquet floor provides contrast with a palette of blues and greys.
