Tableware design for the Bocuse d'Or UK team competing in Budapest
"Design partner to TEAM UK for what is the world's largest and most prestigious culinary competition."
The Bocuse d'Or is the world's largest and most prestigious culinary competition. Working alongside the culinary industries biggest names, the Bocuse d'Or UK Academy have partnered with Faber to lead the tableware design for Team UK.
With design playing an ever bigger part in the competition, the biggest challenge is creating a platter design that makes a statement whilst allowing the food to be the star of the show.
Working with chef Ian Musgrave, of The Ritz, our design celebrates the tradition of craft, in particular refreencing the Arts & Craft movement and the work of William Morris. A highly polished centrepiece, made by specialist silversmiths in Ian's home town of Sheffiled, sits on a satin stainless steel base with an etched decorative pattern.
