Design for the cookbook, Black Iron, celebrating the art of cooking over charcoal
“Black Iron celebrates a journey; taking a fledgling enterprise from home barbeque to a multi-site hospitality group.”
Having previously worked with Kiran Parmar, of The Parmar Collection, on numerous restaurant and bar projects, we were delighted to be involved in the design of their first cookbook, Black Iron.
Named after their first restaurant, Black Iron at Winstanley House, the book celebrates the art of cooking over coal. Not just the cooking of meat; Black Iron celebrates the potential for this type of cooking to add incredible flavour to all manner of food types.
Working alongside Kiran and his former Executive Chef, now MD, Mike Francis, the book tells their story of building a family business; the challenges of restoring a Grade II Listed Georgian house and taking their fledgling enterprise from home barbeque to a multi-site hospitality group.
Once again we were delighted to work with our publishing partner, Away With Media, to bring this book to life.
