Interior design for a relaxed bar and eatery
"A transformation that sees what was local sports bar become something altogether more grown up."
Faber was appointed by independent operator Davenport Inns to rebrand and refurbish an existing bar in the historic cathedral city of Lichfield, Staffordshire.
The owner sought to transform a tired, confused, space into a stylish, contemporary venue that would appeal to Lichfield’s day trippers and shoppers, whilst adding to the city’s growing independent bar scene and thriving nightlife.
The chic new bar area creates a vibrant focal point, providing a cosy coffee hangout by day, and elegant cocktail spot by night. Plush booth seating and ambient lighting offer a warm, welcoming environment to sample the selection of craft beers, contemporary cocktails and classic, home-cooked dishes.
In the words of Tony Matters, Creative Director of Faber:
“Lichfield is such a beautiful place, it’s great to see it’s independent bar and restaurant scene starting to take shape. 55 Wade Street will be a fantastic new addition, providing a cool and contemporary bar with seriously delicious food. As always, it’s great to be working with an ambitious and passionate independent operator to bring their vision to life.”
