Behind the Scenes at Faber : Meet Holly
At Faber, we’re pretty good at sharing the amazing work we do through our Portfolio and Before and After pages. But we thought it was high time we allowed you a peek at our inner workings; a closer look at the team responsible for making the magic happen; who they are, what they do – plus 10 quickfire questions to see what really makes them tick.
This is Holly; she studied Architecture at the University of Nottingham. After graduating, she worked at an architectural firm in Cambridge for a while, before joining the interior design team here at Faber just over a year ago.
Working with interesting and unique independent businesses is what Holly loves most about her job. “It’s great, because it means each project is different,” she says. She also enjoys the satisfaction of seeing a project through from start to finish, and watching a space completely transform.
In her spare time, Holly is an avid lacrosse player (she plays for Birmingham Ladies); a sport she picked up at uni for the social perks and quickly got hooked on.
Her standout memory from uni is a building project which involved travelling to South Africa for four weeks to build a school for an isolated community. The four-week experience provided invaluable practical skills (she even did a bit of bricklaying) and a greater understanding of alternative building techniques.
